ABOUT US

HISTORY - Islamic center of sioux falls
MISSION
The Islamic Center of Sioux Falls is dedicated to serving the spiritual, religious, and communal needs of Muslims in the area. We nurture faith, uphold Islamic values, and promote the well-being of the broader community through worship, charity, education, outreach, interfaith dialogue, and civic engagement.
VISION
Our vision is to be a leading mosque in South Dakota, providing exceptional Islamic guidance and comprehensive services to our community.
Leadership
The board and active members set the goals and priorities for the Islamic Center, guided by the motto
“Our Youth, Our Future.” The leadership is committed to equipping our youth with authentic teachings
of Islam and preparing them to be the future leaders of our community. Due to the increase in the
number of newcomer families, we are in urgent need of expanding our Center to accommodate the
growing demand for our weekend school and dawah efforts.
History
The Islamic Center of Sioux Falls was established in 1992 to serve the spiritual, educational, and communal needs of Muslims across South Dakota and neighboring states. Inspired by a commitment to represent Islam in a positive light and to share its message of peace and harmony, the founders laid the foundation for a welcoming and inclusive community.
Over the years, the Islamic Center has grown alongside its vibrant congregation, becoming a vital
resource for new immigrants and refugees. Through free services and unwavering support, it remains a
cornerstone for Muslims in the region, fostering unity and enriching the lives of all who enter its doors.
New Project
Strategic Plan:
To accommodate our growth, our plan is to purchase an adjacent house that will serve our needs for the next 10 years. This expansion will provide larger classrooms, a bigger prayer area for sisters, and more parking spaces.
